The location is central, close to a museum and a castle. A 15-minute walk can take you to the train station. The room is nicely furnished and tidy with a double and single bed, everything is really good. ...

We only slept at the twin room, but loved it. The bed was comfortable; and there was a bath.

The staff were rude and a disagreement occurred at check-in due to us changing our arrival date as my daughter was in hospital the previous booked date. This was changed3 days before due to arrive and they told us they could provide the same rooms for the same price on a different day. When we arrived they were insisting we pay an extra £40 for this change. A massive disagreement occurred until we were about to walk away and find some other place to stay. The manager eventually agreed not to charge us the extra but was extremely rude and their staff sneered at us after that. No such thing as goodwill or the customer is always right attitude here then!! The stay was not marred after that as we kept away from the hotel apart from sleeping there.

The room was lovely and the view was lovely, however as it was on the river bank opposite some pubs it was very noisy until the early hours of the morning. People were still quite rowdy at 4 am on Friday morning.

Very good location
I booked two double rooms and they were on different floors which I did not find acceptable, the hotel should know people want to be together, I also asked for river view and only one room had a river view. If I had booked this hotel at the last minuet I would have understood, but it was booked weeks before hand. My other complaint was the television, it had very poor picture and kept going off and on all the time. It certainly was too small for the room and wants renewing.
